I bought this cheese knife after being frustrated with the side the serrations are on on our existing knife. Normally the scalloped serrations are on the right side which means it cuts best on the right side of a block of cheese. A frustrating proposition for a lefty. I bought this thinking the serration side would be reversed and work better from the left. It is exactly the same, except it is etched "left handed". Not an improvement from a home store cheese knife.
