The Yoropen has an interesting history. The inventor, a Taiwanese industrial designer, had twin daughters who were born with Cerebral Palsy. He knew that writing was the key to a higher level of intellectual development for the girls, and researched the ergonomics of writing extensively. The resulting design is named for his daughters - Yoyo and Roro.
