Solidly made of bamboo. nice smooth finish. I think I'll be using the spoon with the built-in notch for resting the spoon on the edge of the pan most! I bought another set for a fellow southpaw.

These are a gift for a lefty friend of mine who has been having problems finding cooking utensils for left handed people. They are high quality and a lot sturdier than I think about bamboo being. Very happy to have found them! They came quicker than estimated too. Happy to have found them.
